The Holy Spirit 2 - Is the Holy Spirit a Personal Being? (Romans 8:26-27)

Part of the 2 Corinthians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

What do the Scriptures say about the nature of the Holy Spirit? Is the Holy Spirit a personal being or the active power or spirit essence of God? Many unorthodox groups insist the Holy Spirit is not personal. There is a risk in trying to fit the Trinity into our world of time and space and trying to define him in our terms.
