Why did Jesus die? It seems a barbaric act. In Christ God shared our life, and surrendered and suffered under the forces and powers of our world. In doing so he joined us where we are, and in his resurrection brought us into the arms of the Father, free of these enemies to be with him always and share in the life of the Father, Son and Spirit.
